THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR SEAMSTRESSES, TAILORS AND CRAFTERS
Thank you to all who are sharing their sewing talent and helping make facemasks for our
healthcare heroes and our most vulnerable.
We have already given Ashley Manor Care Center 100 masks and Valley Hope received
30. They were both extremely grateful. And now we have some more orders to fulfill.
- Riverdell Care Center needs 30
- Lakeview Health would like around 50
- Hartman Village needs 25
- Neighbors Helping Neighbors needs 15
We need these pretty quickly as they are going to be distributing food on Tuesday of this week.
On the website we have started collecting patterns (see the Patterns Page).
If you need anything at all, please email me and we will get what you need if supplies
allow. Our main drop off is at Maggie’s Bar and Grill on Main Street. She is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. I can always swing by someone’s house and pick
them up, too. Please call or text me at 660-888-8939 if you need me to do so.
I would say that this will most likely be a continuing need, and I will keep you posted
on what we need and who needs it. Mary Barile and Christina (Tina) Edholm are
the sewers …. I am just the organizer, so if you need technical help, please feel free to
reach out to them, they are copied on this email. I can crochet….and I did see a FB
post with crocheted facemasks so…I may have to start getting to work.
I would like to make a suggestion, if you can increase your pattern size and elastic length
for some of the masks you are making that would be great. We have some people who
have bigger heads than others. Also, if you have tricks of the trade or a tip, please feel
free to let us know and we will add that to the web page.
Thank you so much for your time and talent.
Blessings to all.
