This week, we introduced a new communication tool for our parish: Flocknote. Due to the unusual circumstances we are in, we kicked it off virtually on our church Facebook page: SS Peter and Paul Church — Boonville, Mo. (Go there to see the video.)
We have a lot of amazing things going on here at SS. Peter & Paul. We are feeding, clothing, helping and serving those in need in so many ways right here in our local community. And, in normal times, we have so many other ministries and events to help you meet people, share your talents, improve your relationships, answer life’s toughest questions, discern the plan and purpose for your life, and to grow closer to God.
We have a tremendous community here. And we want to make sure it’s as easy as possible for every one of you to be involved and connected to it all. So, we’ve adopted a new and improved way of communicating that will make it much simpler for you to get the information you want from us! It’s powered by a service called Flocknote. Like sending a “note” to your “flock.” Flocknote.
This is totally free for you to use, you don’t even have to download anything or create a password in order to participate. You just take a couple of minutes to sign up and it lets you receive email or text messages from the parish office. Your info is kept totally private. In addition to parish communication, we’ll also use this to send important updates about special
upcoming events, inclement weather announcements, and any other important information. And it’s important for you to know that you can update your communication preferences or unsubscribe from any of these updates at any time! On your cell phone: text the letters SSPPBV to 84576. After it texts you back, make sure you click the link and complete the process, choosing what updates you’d like from us.
We’re on a mission here at SSPP and we want you to be a part of it. This is a great opportunity for you to get plugged in to the many wonderful things we have going on here. If you’re having trouble, please call Russell Gerling at 660-621-1885 or call Theresa Krebs at 660-537-6015. We’re happy to help! Thank you for participating! This is really going to simplify communication and increase engagement in our community.
